Join us for worship every Sunday at 11 AM, in both English and Spanish. All are welcome!

Pastor, Tony Baurichter

“We believe that church is not a building we visit or an event we attend. It is who we are - a community with Jesus at the center. If you're looking for God and an opportunity to make an impact, Branches is the church for you.”

BRANCHES UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

OUR STORY

Branches UMC began its journey in 1910 as Florida City United Methodist Church, originally serving a mostly white, Anglo congregation. For many decades, the church thrived. But as the surrounding community grew more diverse in the 1980s and 90s, the church faced challenges staying connected and experienced a period of decline.

Hope returned when Kim Torres moved to the area and began an after-school program and youth ministry called Branches, hosted in the church building. This new ministry breathed fresh life into the church and helped reestablish deep relationships with the neighborhood. In 2011, the church voted to change its name to Branches United Methodist Church, forming a strong partnership with Branches Inc. and embracing a renewed mission: to grow together in faith, service, and love.

Come be part of what God is doing here at Branches UMC—where faith meets community, and everyone has a place to belong.
